Installing Qwant on your computer is free and requires no software: simply add it to your browser. There are two methods: the Qwant extension, which configures everything in one click, or manually adjusting your browser settings. Choose your browser below.

Extension or manual settings: which should you choose?
The extension sets Qwant as your default search engine and as the home page for new tabs. You can disable it at any time.
Manual settings change only the search engine, without installing anything.
Other browsers
Install the Qwant extension on Microsoft Edge
- Open Edge.
- Go to the Qwant extension page on Microsoft Edge Add-ons.
- Click Get.
- Confirm by clicking Add extension.
Set Qwant on Opera
- Open Opera, then open Settings (Alt+P on Windows and Linux, Cmd+, on Mac).
- Under Search engine, click Manage search engines.
- Click Add, then enter the name

Are you still using Internet Explorer?
Microsoft no longer supports Internet Explorer as of June 2022. On Windows, use Microsoft Edge, which is already installed on your computer, and add the Qwant extension to it.
Use Qwant on your mobile device
Qwant offers a mobile app on iOS and Android that lets you use Qwant as your default search engine and enjoy the Zap feature, which lets you delete your browsing data at any time.
