The Qwant app is available for free on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. It allows you to search with Qwant on mobile in a browser dedicated to privacy.
Install the App from the App Store
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the App Store.
- Tap the Search icon at the bottom right.
- Enter Qwant in the search bar.
- Select Qwant from the results (the publisher listed is Qwant).
- Tap Get then confirm the installation with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple password.
The app will appear on your home screen once the installation is complete.
Compatibility
The Qwant app for iOS requires iOS 15 or later. If you are using an earlier version, update iOS via Settings > General > Software Update.
Start a Search from the App
When you open the app, you arrive directly on the Qwant homepage. Tap the search bar, enter your query, and submit: your results will display within the browser integrated into the app.
Navigate Through Results
The app works like a full browser:
- Open links in new tabs.
- Save favorites.
- Browse in private mode.
- Enable or disable privacy settings.
You also have the Zap feature, which lets you close all your tabs and delete any cookies that may have been placed on the Qwant app during your browsing on other sites.
Make Qwant Your Default Browser on iOS
Once the app is installed, you can set it as the default browser on your iPhone. All links you open from your apps will then open directly in Qwant.
