Did you see AI answers on Qwant before and now they’re gone? Or have you never seen any? There are several reasons why they might be missing.
The AI answer doesn’t trigger for every search
This is the most common reason. The AI answer mainly appears for factual questions where a summary saves time. It doesn’t trigger for navigational searches (looking for a specific site), hot news topics, or ambiguous queries.
If an AI answer showed up for this search a few days ago but not anymore, our system has probably determined that a summary no longer adds value.
You have disabled the option in your settings
Make sure the “Enabled” option is checked under AI Features in your Qwant settings (gear icon at the top right, section Customize your searches).
If you’re using private browsing or a different browser than usual, your local settings might differ from those in your main browser.
The feature is not available in your region or language
AI answers are being rolled out gradually and may not be active in all regions or languages supported by Qwant. If you recently changed your language or region, this could explain their absence.
You are using a simplified version of the interface
On some older browsers, very slow connections, or with certain script-blocking extensions, AI answers may not load properly. Try temporarily disabling your extensions on qwant.com to check.
