Have you forgotten your Qwant password or want to change it? Here is the procedure to reset it in a few steps.
Resetting a Forgotten Password
- Go to qwant.com.
- Click the login button at the top right of the page.
- Once on the form, click Forgot password?
- Enter your email and click Continue
You will receive an email within a few minutes containing a secure link to set a new password. This link expires after a few hours for security reasons.
If You Do Not Receive the Email
- Check your Junk Mail or Spam folder.
- Make sure the email address entered is the one associated with your account.
- If you signed up with Apple or Google, you do not have a Qwant password per se — log in directly using the method you used to sign up.
- Wait 10 to 15 minutes: delivery may take some time depending on your email provider.
If you still do not receive the email after 30 minutes, contact Qwant support.
Choosing a New Password
Your new password must be:
- At least 12 characters long.
- Ideally composed of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
- Different from passwords you use on other services.
We recommend using a password manager to generate and store unique passwords for each service.
Changing a Password You Know
If you are already logged in and want to change your password, go to your account settings, under the Login and Security section.
