You can access your Qwant account using your Google account, without creating a specific password for Qwant.
How to sign in with Google
- Go to qwant.com.
- Click the Sign in button at the top right of the page.
- Select Google.
- Choose the Google account you want to use, or enter your Google credentials.
- Approve the permissions requested by Qwant.
First sign-in: automatic account creation
If this is your first time signing in with Google, your Qwant account is automatically created from your Google ID. You do not need to set a password for Qwant.
Data shared with Qwant
In accordance with our privacy policy, Qwant only receives from Google the strictly necessary information:
- Your name and email address (associated with your Google account).
Your search queries remain independent and are not shared with Google. Your search activity on Qwant is not linked to your Google account.
Revoke Qwant's access to your Google account
You can revoke Qwant's access to your Google account at any time from your Google account settings, under the Security > Third-party apps with account access section.
If you revoke access, you will no longer be able to sign in to Qwant via Google, but your existing Qwant account will not be deleted.
If signing in with Google does not work
- Make sure you are signed in to the correct Google account.
- On some browsers with strict third-party cookie blocking, Google authentication may fail. Allow third-party cookies for
accounts.google.com. - Try again in normal browsing mode if you were in private browsing.
