Do you want to delete your Qwant account and all associated data? Here’s how to proceed.
Delete Your Account from Your Settings
- Log in to your account on qwant.com.
- Click on the settings icon at the top right, then on Manage My Account.
- Go to the Login and Security section.
- Select Delete My Account.
- Confirm your request.
Deletion is permanent: your preferences, settings, and all data associated with your account will be erased. This action cannot be undone.
Automatic Deletion After 13 Months of Inactivity
If you no longer use your Qwant account, please note that it is automatically deleted after 13 months without any login activity, in accordance with our privacy policy and GDPR obligations.
What Data Is Deleted?
When your account is deleted:
- Your login credentials (email, password, or Apple/Google connection) are erased.
- Your synchronized preferences and settings are erased.
- Your session data is erased.
Your search queries are not linked to your account, so they are not affected (they are anonymized and processed independently).
What If I Just Want to Log Out Without Deleting?
If you simply want to log out of your account without deleting it, click Log Out in the settings menu at the very bottom. Your account will be preserved, and you can log back in anytime with the same credentials.
