You can access your Qwant account using your Apple ID, without creating a specific password for Qwant.
How to sign in with Apple
- Go to qwant.com.
- Click the Settings icon at the top right of the page or the Sign In button.
- Select Continue with Apple.
- Authenticate with your Apple ID (Face ID, Touch ID, or password depending on your device).
- Choose whether you want to share your Apple email address or use a private relay address generated by Apple.
- Confirm to complete the sign-in.
First sign-in: automatic account creation
If this is your first time signing in with Apple, your Qwant account is automatically created from your Apple ID. You do not need to set a password for Qwant.
Apple's private relay address
Apple offers you the option to use a relay email address (in the form of xxx@privaterelay.appleid.com) instead of your real address. This address forwards emails to your actual inbox without revealing it to us.
You can enable or disable this option at any time from the settings of your Apple ID.
Data shared with Qwant
In accordance with our privacy policy, Qwant only receives from Apple the strictly necessary information:
- Your name (only if you choose to share it).
- An email address (real or private relay depending on your choice).
Your search queries remain independent and are not transmitted to Apple.
If signing in with Apple does not work
- Make sure you are signed in to your Apple account on your device.
- On some browsers or in private browsing, Apple authentication may be blocked. Try again on your main browser.
- If you have revoked Qwant’s access from your Apple settings, you will need to authorize it again.
