What Qwant Does and Does Not Do
Qwant does not create user profiles based on your searches. It does not track your activity across websites. It does not use your data for behavioral advertising. It does not sell your data to partners.
These principles apply whether you are logged into a Qwant account or not and across all of our products.
What Qwant Collects
Qwant collects only what is necessary for the service to operate:
- Your searches, processed anonymously to generate results.
- Your IP address, used for fraud prevention and certain technical partnerships. It is not linked to your identity.
- Technical data (browser type, language) to customize the display.
If you have a Qwant account, your identifier and preferences are stored. Your searches are never linked to your account.
Where Are Your Data Stored?
Your data is hosted in France, subject to European law and GDPR.
Your Rights
You have rights regarding your personal data: access, correction, deletion, objection, portability. To exercise these rights, use the appropriate forms.
Ads and Privacy
Qwant displays ads in its results. These ads depend solely on your current search and not on a profile built from your history.
