Have you found clearly illegal content in Qwant search results? Here’s how to report it in a few steps.
Before Reporting
Qwant is a search engine: we index web pages, we do not host them. When possible, the most effective way to report is to do so directly to the site hosting the content, which can remove it at the source. Qwant can also de-index the content from its results.
Content is considered illegal when it violates the law: glorification of terrorism, child pornography content, incitement to hatred, defamation, counterfeiting, for example. Reporting from Search Results
- Open Qwant search and locate the result to report.
- Go to the footer at the bottom of the results page.
- Click on “Report”.
- Click on the result you want to report.
- Choose the reason for reporting from the provided list.
- Add details if necessary, then submit.
Your report will be sent to our team for review.
Reporting Particularly Serious Content
For child pornography, terrorist content, or content posing an immediate danger to a person, also contact the authorities via the PHAROS platform (internet-signalement.gouv.fr) — the official platform for reporting illegal online content.
What Happens After You Report
Our team evaluates each report according to applicable law, our terms of use, and our obligations under the European Digital Services Act (DSA). If the content is deemed illegal, it will be removed from Qwant’s results. We inform the reporter of the outcome when appropriate.
