Report publication date: 03/02/2026
Period covered by the report: 01/01/2025 – 12/31/2025
Service Identification
Qwant Junior is a French and sovereign search engine developed by Qwant, specifically designed for children aged 6 to 12. It is part of an approach aimed at limiting access to inappropriate or offensive content in order to ensure safe browsing adapted to young audiences.
The service contains no advertising and pays particular attention to protecting children's privacy, placing data confidentiality at the heart of its operation. Accordingly, Qwant Junior strictly limits data collection to the information necessary for the proper functioning of its search engine. The Service is accessible exclusively from French territory.
This report is published as part of Qwant’s compliance with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 on digital services (hereinafter the “DSA”). It covers the period from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025. Its purpose is to meet the transparency obligations imposed by the DSA, which has applied since February 17, 2024, to all intermediary services offering their services within the European Union. This report is available in Excel format.

Orders from Member States (France)
In accordance with Article 15 of the DSA, this report seeks to provide an account of the cooperation of digital-sector stakeholders with the authorities of the Member States of the European Union.
To date, Qwant has not received any order from national authorities specifically concerning the Qwant Junior service. Nevertheless, any delisting measure implemented on the Qwant search engine automatically applies, as a result of a technical effect, to the results accessible through Qwant Junior when the relevant links appear there.
In the interests of transparency and completeness, it was therefore decided to include in this report all orders addressed to Qwant.
Statistics for 2025:
| Categories | Number of orders | Number of items (site) | Average action time (in hours) | Average response time (in hours) |

Notifications
As part of its service, Qwant may process, after the fact, notifications concerning the categories below.
Statistics for 2025:
| Categories | Number of notifications received | Number of notifications received from trusted flaggers |
| Right to be forgotten | 0* | 834* |
| Copyright infringements | 2 | |

| Total | 15 |
* We have not received any right-to-be-forgotten requests concerning Qwant Junior. However, requests submitted through Qwant are also processed for Qwant Junior, as mentioned above.
** This is the number of notifications submitted by a trusted flagger. At this stage, Qwant has no information about the specific content of these notifications. They are processed automatically upon receipt.
As mentioned above, the notifications received are addressed to Qwant and not Qwant Junior. Thus, any delisting measure implemented on the Qwant search engine automatically applies, as a result of a technical effect, to the results accessible through Qwant Junior when the relevant links appear there. In the interests of transparency and completeness, it was therefore decided to include in this report all notifications received from trusted flaggers.
Moderation
It should be recalled that Qwant performs automated crawling of content freely accessible on the Web (known as “crawling”), for the sole purpose of ensuring that sites are indexed in its search engine. Qwant exercises no prior control over the sites thus crawled and has no power to intervene in content hosted by third parties.
Qwant does not intervene in the management of the data collected by its crawling tools, or in the production, editorial analysis, selection, or modification of content originating from third-party sites. Accordingly, Qwant cannot be considered to independently conduct general source-level moderation, since it does not have the technical control necessary to editorialize, modify, or delete content hosted by third parties.
However, Qwant has established, on its own initiative for the Qwant Junior service, a moderation system in partnership with the University of Toulouse. This system makes it possible to block a significant volume of unlawful or inappropriate content for children aged 6 to 12. To date, no consolidated figures are available for 2025, as the filtering list is regularly updated by the University and automatically integrated into the Qwant Junior service. This list is available here: https://dsi.ut-capitole.fr/blacklists/
In the event of a notification or report concerning potentially unlawful or disputed content accessible through the search engine, Qwant also applies the processing mechanisms set out in its general terms and conditions.
Finally, some of the content accessible through the search engine is based on sources provided by Microsoft as part of a technology partnership. Accordingly, certain content is already subject to filtering and moderation mechanisms implemented upstream by this partner.
