The language and region of your search influence the results Qwant offers you. You can change these settings at any time from the Qwant interface.
Change Display Language
The display language is the language in which the Qwant interface appears (menus, buttons, messages).
- Go to qwant.com.
- Click on the settings icon at the top right of the page.
- In the Interface Language section, select your preferred language.
Your language choice is saved in your current browser.
Change Results Region
The region determines the relevance of local results: news, nearby sites, preferred language for indexed pages.
- In your settings, open the Region or Location section.
- Choose the country that matches your interests.
You can choose a region different from your actual location: if you are in France but want information tailored to a German audience, select the corresponding region.
Why Are My Local Results Not Relevant?
If your results don’t seem to match your region:
- Check that the region selected in your settings is correct.
- Disable your VPN if you are using one: your IP address is one of the signals used.
Supported Languages
Qwant is fully translated into several major world languages. In other languages, some parts of the interface may remain in English or be poorly translated.
